It’s an upstorey wing on the
right side of the second campus and extends from one end to the other
end of the college. It has the largest campus among all the Zoology
department of the University. It has 11 members of the teaching staff.
The Zoology museum is exceptionally precious. It has 1500 specimens
belonging to different classes. All well preserved or stuffed. The
museum has innumerable skeletons, arranged in well constructed all
glass specimen almirahs so that they can be viewed from all sides.
It’s a boon to the students for learning. The collection available
here will not be found any where else at one place, even in the Univercity
departments. The credit for its development goes to late. Dr. J.P.
Tiwari, the then head Zoology Deptt.
The departments 5 labs are well equipped with all necessary instruments
worth Rs. 15 lacs. There are 80 microscope for undergraduate 50 for
post graduate and 10 for research purpose. There are 1100 under graduate
48 post graduate and 10 research scholars in the department. It has
so for produced 19 ph.D students.
